Night Strobist 01

One of my favourite strobist session. Done at night with a few friends, trying to get that "night-light-bokeh". Not too bad for a first try I reckon. Comments and critics are welcomed though.

Vivitar 285HV and Interfit STR100 Strobist Kit

Yesterday a friend of mine asked about Vivitar 285HV, an oldie looking flash with a GN of 120 (that's HUGE for a flash isn't?) Anyway, no one sells it in Indonesia (and I do wonder why), so I went online and found it on sale at B&H for USD89 a piece. Before I bought it though, I wonder if anyone could review it, whether it's a good buy considering the spec. I thought of using it for strobist and, if it's really strong enough, using it for strobist effect on broad daylight. Anyone?

I also found out about Interfit's STR100 strobist kit which include a mini beauty dish, snoot, grid, barn door, etc.. pretty interesting too. Portable, and could fit on a speedlight. Really. really interested :)

So, any insight, review, or recommendations would be appreciated.
